Grants
The Eastside Area Community Foundation offers grants to
organizations within the DeKalb Eastern School District.
Grant applications will be accepted through September 15, 2026. A member of the requesting organization may be invited to attend a Board Meeting to present the request and answer questions raised by Board members.
Awards will be announced following the Grant Committee’s decisions.
Grant Recipients
2025
Butler Youth Evangelistic Association, Inc
The Filling Station was awarded $10,000 for program expenses. The Filling Station program's goal is to address the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of young people by providing a facility for recreation, fellowship, fun and moral guidance to deter juvenile delinquency, youth violence, self-harming, drug/alcohol use, bullying and gang activity by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ uncompromisingly.
St Joe Pickle Festival
Awarded $2,000 to be used for the 2025 Pickle Festival in St. Joe, Indiana.
Little Joe's Preschool
Purchased learning tools, games and toys for the school
Hoosier's Feeding the Hungry
Awarded $1,500 to pay for meat processing to provide protein options to organizations in eastern DeKalb County.
Junior Achievement - Central/East DeKalb County
Awarded $1,000 to support financial literacy in DeKalb Eastern schools.
